For flat heat press machines tips:
No shifting. For tumbler, cup or mug heat sublimation, please use heat transfer tap to secure the sublimation paper to prevent it from moving.
When using a flat heat press, try to choose one with the upper heating plate moving rather than one with the lower heating plate moving.
Because when you push the bottom plate until it touches the sensor switch to automatically press down on the heating plate, the sublimation paper may move during this process.
When the transfer is completed, moving the plate may cause secondary ghosting because the ink has not yet dried.
If it is a clam heat press machine, you should avoid lifting the sublimation paper when lifting the heating plate.
Dry sponge pad. When using a large-format heat press machine, if a sponge pad is used, if the local climate is humid, the sponge pad should be dried before sublimation.
Dry environment. You should ensure that the sublimation paper is protected from moisture, and the sublimation paper should be stored in a dry environment. And printed sublimation paper should not be stored for a long time.
For rotary heat press machines tips:
Blanket tension. If there is a ghost on one of the left and right sides, you should check whether the blanket on the side with the ghost is loose. If it is loose, you need to tighten it to solve the ghost problem.
Shaft integrity. If the problem is still not solved, the blanket drive shaft should be checked for damage.
If it is a rubber-coated drive shaft, it may cause ghosting due to the peeling off of the rubber.
Quick separation. If it's a whole ghost image, it should be noted that when the used sublimation paper comes out from between the roller and the blanket, it should be quickly separated from the printed fabric. Rewind the used sublimation paper to the air-expanding shaft.
Proper pressure. The amount of pressure should also be adjusted according to the thickness of the substrate. Proper pressure is also important to avoid ghosting.
Choose high-quality fabrics to avoid shrinkage. If the fabric will shrink, it should be preheated before transferring. Because shrinkage can also cause ghosting
Optimize temperature and speed. Use the correct temperature and speed. For a 210mm diameter drum heat transfer machine, the temperature is usually set between 165 degrees and 200 degrees, and the speed is set at 15.00-22.00Hz. For roller heat transfer machines with diameters above 420mm, the temperature is usually set between 200 and 230°C, and the speed is set at 10.00-25.00Hz.Usually lower temperature corresponds to slower speed, higher temperature corresponds to faster speed, but the temperature must be controlled below 250℃ to ensure safe use.
It is usually necessary to test samples from low temperature corresponding to low speed to high temperature corresponding to fast speed to test the temperature and speed that are most suitable for the substrate. When testing samples, you must use protective paper or an extra layer of cutting pieces to protect the blanket, and test on the far left side of the machine.
Ensure proper cooling. When transferring roll fabric, make sure the printed fabric has cooled down when winding up the printed fabric.
