There could be several possible reasons for a roll heat press machine automatically tripping, including:
Overload: If the circuit breaker connected to the outside of the machine is too small, when the voltage becomes smaller, the current will be too large and the circuit breaker will trip.
Electrical issues: Faulty electrical connections, a power surge, or a short circuit in the wiring could also cause the machine to trip.
If one of the heating elements leaks or any connecting copper-cables of the heating elements rubs against the drum wall or the insulation sleeve of copper wire connected to the copper ring is broken, it will also cause the machine to trip. If the insulating gasket installed at the end of the heating tube falls off, it is likely that the copper wire will contact the drum wall.
If the fuse burns out, it may cause a trip, but it will not allow you to turn it on again. There will be no readings on the temperature controller or the inverter panel. You can try replacing the spare fuse to see if it works.
Overheating: If the temperature settings are too high, it can lead to overheating and an automatic trip. If the inverter fan or solid-state relay fan is broken, causing the inverter or solid-state relay to overheat, it may also cause tripping.
Mechanical issues: Problems with the components of the machine, such as a malfunctioning sensor, a broken part, or a jammed roller, could also trigger an automatic trip.
If the inverter burns out, it will cause the machine to trip automatically as soon as it is turned on, and it will trip again immediately after restarting.
If the AC contactor connected to the frequency converter burns out, the machine will automatically trip and cannot be started again.
But If the trip is caused by a loose wire at the AC contactor, you can reconnect it and turn it on again.
If the screw rod is stuck or broken or the any bearing of the automatic blanket correction system, it will also cause the machine to trip as soon as it is turned on. In order to detect whether it is caused by the correction system, you can unplug the two relays that control the correction system. If it does not trip, it is caused by the correction system.
In any case, it is important to immediately stop using the machine, unplug it, and have it inspected by a qualified technician to diagnose and address the issue before resuming operations. If the temperature is high, please separate the blanket from the drum at once.
